Damned Internet - Elitist Jargon keeps norms in the dark!
Why oh why isn’t anything simple! I am not a geek nor a nerd. I do not have a degree in computing nor do I have any intention to. All I wanted to do was add one of my favourite websites that I use regularly. So I go to link, I give it its name and then it asks for a URL. What the hell is a URL I say to myself. Can’t mean web address as it doesn’t have a W in it or an A. So off I go to that lovely source of information - Wikapedia and type in URL. It tells me its a Uniform Resource Locator - what the hell is that. A read further on and right at the end it states - Web Address. Why can’t they just ask for that! Elitest Geeks!
